Sacramento Travel Group Meeting - September 15 @ 10:00 a.m.

It's that time again to meet with fellow travelers to talk about --- travel!

As always, we meet the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Location - Panera Bread, 3571 North Freeway Blvd, Sacramento. This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Everyone who wants to discuss their upcoming trips, reminisce about past trips, or just hang out and talk about travel is welcome.

Who's planning to be there? Everyone is welcome, but it's good to let us know. It gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for.

If it's your first time, look for the Rick Steves books on the table.

Hi Andrea and Eileen! I know how much we all enjoy the Travel meetings but aren't you rushing things a bit? The third Saturday will be the 22 September. Or do you need to have the meeting early this month?
We're in Maienfeld at the moment and on our way to Salzburg today otherwise if we were near Sacramento, we'd be there!

Hi Darcy, I hope you are enjoying your trip. This month the 3rd Saturday is the 15th. I double checked to be sure. Oh to be traveling and lose track of time. ;-) I hope you'll be able to join us again one of these days.

We hope to be there although we are in Oregon for awhile, just made it up I-5 one hour before the freeway was shut down. We have two domestic trips planned this fall so if anyone has information on fall in New Hampshire or Kauai in November we’d appreciate hearing your recommendations. We did buy the new edition of Ultimate Guide to Kauai. No European trip folder to bring this time but that could change in an instant 😀.

Hahaha! I'd blame it on the wine but I was having morning coffee at the time. Guess I just "dropped" the 1 of September when looking at my iPad calendar. (PS: having wine now while cooling off!)

Darcy, I think it was the configuration of the European calendar system that threw you off...

Lol Darcy!

Mona, we spent a week in New Hampshire in October 2009, as part of a 3 week New England trip. I hope to see you on the 15th!

See you on Saturday!
Mona, ask me about Kauai. My first trip was in November -- and included seeing the inside of the eye of a hurricane. Other less traumatic trips were a few Christmas visits. One trip to Princeville, the rest to Poipu area.

I'm thinking about a future trip that could involve Portugal, Spain and/or Switzerland. I'd love to discuss the merits of each country with those of you that have been to them.

Hello, I plan to be there. I'm planning a trip to London, Paris, and Spain and would appreciate any tips/advice anyone has. Looking forward to it!

I believe the 15th is the third Saturday on the base 5 abacus calendar, the 22nd is probably the third Saturday on the metric calendar.
We could hold our meeting on a Friday evening flight to to Asia or Australia. We would arrive on Sunday and the third Saturday would never happen, but we would have met. Wait, then we would have to be the Rod Serling Travel Club. See you on Saturday, or will we be in the.....

...the Rod Serling Travel Club.

Picture yourself at a table. In Natomas. In what appears to be a regular day. Your coffee doesn't taste quite right.

You've crossed into The TRAVEL Zone (doodoodoodoo, doodoodoodoo...)

[The Rod Serling Travel Club, aka The OTHER RS ;-) ]

I'll bring copious amounts of cigarettes 8^0

Mona, I've been to Kauai twice this year (August '17 & April '18) and have the same travel guide. We were mostly in the Princeville area, but got around a little bit. I can tell you my favorite juice for mimosas and how many bottles of mai tais per person/per day to purchase.
