Sacramento Travel Group Meeting - Saturday 6/19 @ 10:00

Please note we are going to start meeting at our old location. Indoor dining is now open with no restrictions. I understand any misgivings about being indoors. I’m feeling that way myself. If enough people are hesitant we can discuss an alternative. Please let me know. I don’t think our recent outdoor Panera gathering spot is an option on Saturday. The forecast is for 102 degrees.

Do you like to talk about travel? Are you dreaming of or planning a trip? Maybe you're just obsessed about traveling? Come join us!

We meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m.

You can find us at Panera Bread, 3571 North Freeway Blvd, Sacramento. This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Anyone wanting to come and talk about travel is welcome. If you need help planning a trip, we have a well traveled group of people who are happy to give advice.

Who plans to come? Everyone is welcome, but please let me know who will be there. It gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for.

If this is your first time, you can find us by looking for the Rick Steves books on the table.

We will catch you all next month and indoors is OK with us. Next week’s temperatures in Sacramento are unbelievably high! We are currently in the Midwest where the temperatures are lower and the humidity is tolerable for a change.

Thanks dpl. If it doesn’t look feasible please let me know.

Looking forward to seeing you Susan & Monte.

Mona, I hope you are both enjoying the visit with your families. The forecast for Saturday is now 106. Right now we are on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, where the high today was 61 and it rained off and on. After 5 days here visiting family and friends we are heading back to Oregon tomorrow. I will enjoy the continued reasonable temperatures and possible rain before returning home to 109 on Friday. After the two weeks we have so far spent in Oregon and Washington it’s going to be an adjustment. 🥵

See you indoors at Panera in July -- this month we will be in Nevada for Father's Day weekend. (Also indoors in the A/C -- will be hot there too.)

Indoor is fine with me.

I was just going to ask today if anyone had spoken with Panera yet about opening up that large middle table…so I’ll just let dpl do my work for me ;-) I planned on asking no earlier than Tuesday (tomorrow) in order to get the latest info, since things are changing rapidly around here this week.

FWIW, outside is probably okay, IF we don’t plan to stay much beyond 12:00 - 1:00 or so…or we start earlier…but y’all may not want to bother with that.

Eileen, I verified we can use the big table at that specific Panera location before my original post.

Today’s meeting, indoors and at our old location, went very well. I think we had 11 people attend, which is small by our old standards. That’s okay...baby steps...

See y’all next month!

Lauri, we are looking forward to seeing you in person next month. I will order a much cooler day than we had yesterday. No promises...
