Sacramento Travel Group Meeting- Saturday 2/16 @ 10 am

Who wants to talk about travel? I know I do!!

We always meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

You can find us at Panera Bread, 3571 North Freeway Blvd, Sacramento.

This location is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Everyone who wants to discuss their upcoming trips, reminisce about past trips, or just hang out and talk about travel is welcome.

Who's planning to be there? Everyone is welcome, but it's helpful to know who is coming. It gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for.

If it's your first time, look for the Rick Steves books on the table.

If any of you Bay Area peeps are thinking about coming only this month or next month, but not both, I would advise you to come in March. Ms. Jo will be here next month.

If anyone has a guidebook or any information about Budapest I would appreciate it if you could bring it to the meeting. Thanks!

Mike, I'm looking forward to hearing about your experience in Budapest. I really want to go, but need to get Jim onboard. He doesn't know anything about it, but has a preconceived idea that he won't like it. Sigh...

Budapest is one of our favorites -- but part of that might be that Ed, as a senior EU citizen, gets free public transit. And soaking in the thermal baths ....

We loooove Budapest too. We only spent 4 days there and could easily go back for another week or two!

Does anyone have a Rick Steve's Classic Carryon they could bring? I have the convertible and it's too big. I'm trying to downsize but I would like to see it before I purchase it online.

Thank you!

And I'm planning a trip to Budapest Too!!!! :)

Stay-ce, both bags are the exact same size. The only differences are the convertible carry-on can expand and it weighs 3 lbs, as opposed to 2 lbs for the classic back door bag. Also the classic doesn't have a waist belt. The convertible carry-on is on sale right now and both bags cost $79.99.

Jim won't be at the meeting tomorrow (someone has to stay home with our senior dog), but I'm counting on you Budapest lovers to explain to Jim the next time you see him why you like it. This trip is about 18 months away, so there is plenty of time to get him on board.

I had hoped to come this month but the weather isn’t cooperating.
But next month for sure. And thanks, Andrea, for the reminder about Ms Jo being in town. I’m looking forward to seeing her again... as well as the rest of you!
