Sacramento Travel Group Meeting - Sat. 7/17 @ 10:00 a.m.

Happy Anniversary to our group! We have been meeting monthly since July 2010, either in person or virtually. The only meeting we missed was in March 202O when California shut down just before the meeting. It’s so nice to be meeting in person again.

Please note that we are meeting indoors at our old location. It’s too hot for outdoor meetings.

Do you like to talk about travel? Are you dreaming of or planning a trip? Maybe you're just obsessed about traveling? Come join us!

We meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m.

You can find us at Panera Bread, 3571 North Freeway Blvd, Sacramento. This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Anyone wanting to come and talk about travel is welcome. If you need help planning a trip, we have a well traveled group of people who are happy to give advice.

Who plans to come? Everyone is welcome, but please let me know who will be there. It gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for.

If this is your first time, you can find us by looking for the Rick Steves books on the table.

Since we will be crowded closely together around a table please wear a mask if you are not vaccinated.

Looking forward to our familiar digs and travel conversation. We hope to be in Europe August 27-September 16 and could use some help with our very limited itinerary of Thuringia and Saxony, we’re trying to finally have enough time to do these 2 states adequately.

We hope to be there -- having Panera withdrawal pains. Tentative Christmas markets trip, assuming markets will be open and we can cross borders from Germany to Austria and France.

I’m looking forward to seeing all of you. It should only be in the high 90’s on meeting day, but nice and cool in Panera. When I say only, that’s comparing the forecast to the 113 degrees expected tomorrow. We are headed to the coast to escape the heat. 🥵

I better pass this one as I've been really busy of late and could use a quiet weekend.

I'll be there at 10...unless you all chip in money to pay me to stay
home (your call).

Ransomware hits our travel group! 💰 😃

Nigel, I think $20 per attendee (and anyone else who would like to donate) would do it. The money can be given/sent to me, and I will give it to dpl. I will absolutely give it to him. Really. I pinky swear it. He knows where I live so I don’t think I could get away with keeping the money for myself. It wouldn’t take long for him to walk here from his house, maybe 5 minutes or so. If he rings my doorbell I’m sure I would answer. I’m sure. Maybe. My doorbell has a camera. 😂😅

So Andrea, how much can we get to stay away?? (Kind of like farmers being paid not to plant crops?)

Sorry Lauri, you both need to come.
