Sacramento Travel Group Meeting- February 17 @ 10 am

It's that time again to meet with fellow travelers to talk about --- travel!

As always, we meet the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Location - Panera Bread, 3571 North Freeway Blvd, Sacramento. This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Everyone who wants to discuss their upcoming trips, reminisce about past trips, or just hang out and talk about travel is welcome.

Who's planning to be there? Everyone is welcome, but it's good to let us know. It gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for.

If it's your first time, look for the Rick Steves books on the table.

We plan to be there to pick everyone's brains about Black Forest and Dijon/ Beaune/ Lyon for May. Possibly driving ....

Laura B, the first place I ever went in Europe was the Black Forest. We had a family reunion with my German family there. Sadly I am going to be missing the meeting this month, due to a death in the family. I will be in L.A. helping my daughter. I can't believe I'm missing two months in a row. The only other times that has happened is when I'm traveling. And no, L.A. is not traveling and it isn't a pleasure trip.

Matt, I'm happy to hear you're going to make it. Maybe I'll see you in March.

We'll miss you Andrea! Hope to see you in March and/or April. (Scheduled our trip so we go straight home from the April meeting to pack for a Sunday flight. But then we will miss May and June.)

We hope to be there. We get back to Sacramento after a warm muggy week in Florida.

We have a trip taking shape to the Netherlands in April and a trip to Bern, Switzerland in July-August. We are looking at spending 8 days outside of Switzerland at the beginning of this trip and welcome ideas. We are taking Dave's sister who had been to England, Italy, Germany and Switzerland with us before.

Have a good meeting tomorrow. I should be driving over the Grapevine about the time the meeting starts if I leave home at my intended time. The weather should be perfect in L.A. tomorrow, so I'm hoping to convince my daughter that a little beach time will be therapeutic.
