Sacramento Travel Group Meeting Feb. 20 @ 10:00 a.m.

It's that time again to meet with fellow travelers to talk about --- travel!!

As always, we meet the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Location-
Panera Bread 3571 North Freeway Blvd. Sacramento. This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Everyone who wants to discuss their upcoming trips, reminisce about past trips, or just hang out and talk about travel is welcome.

Who's planning to be there? Everyone is welcome, but it's a good to let us know. It gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for.

Susan, did you notice they didn't say what the view was? Most likely the parking lot. Unless Eileen gets on the table and starts dancing. It could happen. ;-)

True, lol. I'd definitely buy tickets to Eileen dancing on the table.

Yep, gotta have a view of the parking lot to make sure nobody steals my valuable antique auto (big market out there for 1984 Volvo wagons for which no replacement parts are available! ) But Eileen on the table would be worth watching, too.

For those traveling on I-80, you might want to check the construction schedule. I know that the west bound Truxel exit is closed this weekend. Hopefully there won't be any problems next weekend.

I was going to say I'd like a seat in the back...that's where the necking and making-out happens...

...but apparently I'll be dancing this month; I'll be sure to NOT wear a skirt.

Second thought - I'm not sure I have enough medical insurance for tabletop dancing. I'll double-check my coverage...

Hmm...don't want Eileen doing anything she's not insured for. Maybe we should change the meeting plan to tabletop SNACKING. Sounds safer for everyone.
Thanks for the traffic warning. Andrea.

Ahhhh...Tabletop Snacking. Now THAT'S something I'm really good at.

(While there are medical issues with that, it probably won't result in a visit to the ER nor a police/insurance report with Panera.)

Rob and Deb, we'll try to behave...although the snacking could get out of control...and I can't promise there WON'T be any dancing.

Snacking is especially fun when it's some of Lauri's yummy treats!

Welcome! No problems parking. Panera is in a large shopping center. We meet (99.9% of the time) at the large table in the center of the room. We usually add 3 extra tables to it. On a couple of occasions we found 'our' table occupied. We just put a bunch of tables together in another part of the restaurant. Look for a Rick Steves book on the table to identify us.

Ack! Just realized I've got a conference to go to that day. Need CEUs to keep my license up,
A license I don't expect to use again.
Hmmm.
What to do? If Eileen comes with her castenettes, I may have to let the conference slide.

Last-minute advise that we'll be there... two for the Orchestra pit, please.

Does Eileen's show require a two-drink minimum?

Trust me Matt, you will want a minimum of two drinks before the show starts. At least she won't use a pole for this show!

Brownies going into the oven.
Ms Jo, if there IS a show somebody will take incriminating photos, so you can see it when you're in California.

Ms. Jo, I will try to arrange for a private showing for you. No promises. She can be quite stubborn. Though if you give her a few glasses of wine, there's no telling what she might do.

Matt, you'll need at least 2 drinks. I'll need 2 bottles of wine. We'll see how the day goes... ;-)

Kitty,

Go to the conference, sign in, collect the packet, then ostensibly step out to use the restroom. You don't have to tell them which restroom. It too a while to find it, and you ended up having to use the one at Panera. Then leave Panera in time to drive back and be seen towards the end of the conference. You then simply tell the others that you were at the back of the room because you did not want to be disruptive getting back to your seat while a presentation was in progress.

It was great to have you. It's hard with 18+ people to keep everyone straight. I'll try to remember to bring name tags next time. ;-)

Andrea, at least we have two Robs, in terms of keeping everyone's name straight.
