Assuming I am somewhat recovered from west bound travel, I will be there!

For now, Tschuss from Switzerland!

Well, well, well…..we’ve heard from our brockabrella wearing team captain! Judging from that 1:08 am time stamp, I’m going to say our bridegroom is still in Scotland or enjoying that “wide awake when I shouldn’t be” time reset of coming home.

Yes, indeed we are primed for some awesome trip reports! A wedding, a French canal boat trip, at least three couples back from Switzerland alone. Oh my!

Let’s not rile our namesake breathren of Portland, Maine. As a native Oregonian, I did my mandatory semester of Oregon history in middle school. I can assure you our lovely Portland’s name came from a coin toss between Asa Lovejoy and Francis Pettygrove. Pettygrove won and spared us the less musical name of Boston, Oregon. Thank you Oregon public education.

Paul and I picked up a bug on the flight home from NYC but hope to be recovered by Saturday meet up. (What’s worse than a 10 hour flight from Amsterdam to PDX? A six hour flight from JFK to PDX extended by several hours on the tarmac waiting for a nor’easter to pass with the first four hours under the seatbelt sign on with nothing but pretzels on board once they did bring drinks around. Note to self- always make sure you have a beverage and snacks on hand for just such hellish situations. )

Ugh! We gave up east coast transfers after a couple of nightmarish ones. Sorry this happened to you! See you the 21st,
