Would that be 7149 SW Nyberg Road in Tualatin 97062?
Are SW Washington travel enthusiasts also welcome?
Will we also be discussing the novels of Holly Martins?
I think I can get a pass for a couple hours from the asylum.

You're always welcome Doug, but that pass from the asylum could be iffy.

As of now I plan on it.

I'm not familiar with the novels of Holly Martins and can't find her via Google. Like to know more. We're looking for our next European driving trip having just returned from a great 5-week driving tour of France. We hope to make the trek from vancouver to tualatin!

Kay, it’s a joke from Doug to me. There is no author by that name. It refers to a scene from the movie “The Third Man,” starring Orson Welles, which was shot in Vienna. I’ll be leaving for a trip to Vienna two days after the next travel group meeting.

Of course there is an author by that name. He may be fictional, but he exists. Just like Uncle Wiggily.

Ok, then. Inside joke on the Orson Welles author! We plan to attend. Looking for ideas for our next European driving tour. We just returned from 6 weeks in France. Have been to Scandinavia, parts of Italy and Germany, England, and Scotland. Considering Ireland and Wales for our next driving adventure but wonder about southern Italy and eastern Europe. Looking forward to chatting. FYI...we, too, are SW Washington residents. Be nice! (LOL) ~Kay and Bob

I hope you guys had a great meeting!
I will be visiting my son (St. Johns) for the first time. He moved from Ohio in August.
I waited too long to get reservations for Thanksgiving dinner so we will be eating Chinese (just like Christmas Story).

I will mainly be focused on visiting with him. He wants to take me to all of his favorite cafes.
But, what would your number one recommendation be to either do, see, or eat at?

My sister wants to visit the Zoo with the Christmas lights.

vandrabrud, you might get better responses by putting a new question in the "Beyond Europe" section instead of tagging on the travel group post. That said, I would recommend buying your Zoo Lights tickets ahead of time - very, very busy Thanksgiving weekend. Check out the FAQ that details some special considerations and deal nights https://www.oregonzoo.org/visit/zoolights/zoolights-faqs. You may still have luck finding thanksgiving reservations, check out the Eater listhttps://pdx.eater.com/maps/restaurants-open-thanksgiving-portland and check out options on Open Table.

My favorite place to take visitors is Powells City of Books. https://www.powells.com/locations/powells-city-of-books They're open 10-6 on Thanksgiving day.
