Portland area Travel group February 15th 10:00 am (Important Venue change!)

Hello all
Big big news. We are going to try a couple different locations in the next few months to find out if we can find a bit better (quieter) location. February 15th at 10:00 am is our next meeting...really early this month. Our February meeting will be at Well & Good Cafe in Tigard. Our room is called The Den & is adjacent to Well & Good Cafe

7357 SW Beveland St #100, Tigard, OR 97223

We will have a projector available so if you would like to send a couple of pictures I'll compile them for sharing w the group. It will be easier for me to compile & project the pictures than for each member to hook up to the projector. I'll suggest a couple themes & feel free to suggest more for Pictures on a Theme. Most moving piece of art, Funnest couple hours in a town or most disastrous activity on a trip. And in the spirit of Valentines.....most romantic adventure! In other words .....just send me some pictures. I'm going to limit the number of pictures from each member so that we don't run over our 2 allotted hours.

And in a special surprise we will (almost certainly) have a signed copy of a Rick Steve's book to raffle off.  Think darned dirty hippies go to Europe.
Hope to see everyone again in February at well & Good Cafe

Bumping this up for Portland peeps. We did go to the inaugural book signing in NYC. A signed copy of his new book is in hand & we will raffle it off in precisely one week.

Remember venue change!

Well peeps it appears our meeting is still ON! After a bit of snow, then freezing rain and then more snow it appears that we are nearly out of the woods as far as weather. i did a trial run to Well & Good coffee shop this afternoon. Roads were clear & wet. A little slush on the side streets. Well & Good was closed today but I anticipate them being open Saturday. If not we can treat it like a train strike in France & adjust on the fly. Meet at Panera Bread in Tualatin.

For those of you that are snowed in don't risk life & limb to attend. We'll survive without you. Stay home warm & cozy. But we would like to see you if you are able

Keep on traveling
