Holy Eclipse! The third Saturday of the month is almost here.
Not really, but by the time it arrives we will be only 2 days away from the eclipse. How exciting is that? I am watching from my backyard. How about you?
So, lets meet on Saturday, August 19th at 10:00am at the Tualatin Panera, 7149 SW Nyberg.
Sorry once again....company coming for the eclipse. Maybe I can attend when we return from Europe.
I'll be there but will have to leave by noon in order to pick up friends from airport. I'll being along your Alhambra book. Thanks for the loan.

I've never been, but I think I can make it this month! I'm not working on Saturday for once. Do you have a sign or something on the table? Or just stacks of RS guide books? :) I hope to see you then.
Sometime Becky has a Rick Steves tour patch on a little holder. But we are pretty easy to identify, look for 4-6 (or more usually) people sitting around one table and talking lots. Usually, we have the biggest table.

All of the news reports are getting to me, too. Maybe those who are still planning to go tomorrow could check in here?
I don't know what the traffic will be like, but I am only in Beaverton, so I am still fine with meeting tomorrow. I suppose we'll see Saturday morning how many people are on the road, but I suspect the worst around Portland will be Sunday and Monday. I admit, I am glad I am not heading for Salem or some other place in the path of totality! 99% will just have to be enough for me this time.
I'm fine with the meeting also. The eclipse is 2 days away and my feeling (no data whatsoever) is that anyone traveling to see it (from other states or countries) will want to see it in Salem where it is 100%, not Portland where it is 99.6%. I have friends driving from Portland to Salem on Monday for the .4% (they are leaving at 2am to get there in a timely fashion.)
We'll be there. Looking forward to some travel talk!
