NEW Washington, DC Travel Meet-Up, Sunday, March 10th at 10am

Trying to make this look like a new topic because Hepline isn’t letting me post ...

Please join us at our next Washington, DC Rick Steves Travel Meetup on Sunday, March 10th at 10:00am @ Teaism - Penn Quarter, 400 8th St, NW, Washington DC. We will meet downstairs, where most of the seating is. As usual, we'll have a blue and yellow Rick Steves guide on the table.

Thanks, Laura! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. Nice to have some new faces - with new travel plans and destinations - at our last meeting!

Just a reminder that Daylight Saving Time starts that day in the US, so set your clocks ahead. I understand that the EU will stop the twice-yearly clock change in 2019; countries get to decide which time they want to stay on. Should be interesting!

I should be there on time this meeting, but I need to leave about 11:45. Thanks, Rachel

I will try to make it, but I'm not 100% sure right now since I'm really behind on many things due to travel to CA last week. If I miss, then I look forward to the next one (hopefully in April)

Regrettably, I know now I won't be able to make it - sadly, I'm just too far behind on a lot of personal and professional stuff. Please let me know when the next meeting will be, and I hope to join!

My wife and I joined the February meeting. It was our first time. Sorry that we missed the meeting this past weekend. I was exhausted from a work trip to Morocco and we also adopted a new puppy the day before. We contemplated coming with the puppy, but figured the downstairs area of Teaism is probably not pet-friendly.

We will definitely try for future meetings. We hope that it went well.

I wish that I had created this account earlier. We hopped on a last-minute steal in February for the long President's Day weekend (plus a couple of extra days). It was only 32,000 Delta SkyMiles for a round-trip from DC to Brussels. We went to Brussels and Bruges, which we had previously visited in 2017, but also made our first visit to Aachen, which was super cool. I wanted to share it on the forum for others to potentially take advantage of, but only recently realized I could create an account without having previously been on an RS tour. Glad I am able to post now!
