It's that time again! We missed a couple of meetings because many of us were....travelling!
If you like to talk about travel, have questions, tips or a trip report or travel dreams, we'd all love to give suggestions or hear about your trip or dreams. Pictures are thoroughly enjoyed too!
Join us at One World Café, 533 South Main Street, Moscow, Idaho, on the third Saturday of the month, 15 July. We meet at 10:30 but due to the lovely Farmers' Market, others come a bit later. We're a pretty casual group! We are finished at 1:00.
So bring your travel dream questions or trip reports. Anyone have something for show and tell, possibly a helpful packing item?
Who will be there?
S & M will be there.
Apparently S&M were doing a trial run to the travel group since we saw them at the Moscow Farmer's Market this morning! I'll be there!
and sadly Terri from Lewiston showed up for the meeting last month! So sorry, Terri that we'd had to cancel it!. But she thoroughly enjoyed the Farmers' Market so felt the trip was worthwhile!
Oh gosh, so sorry when that happens!
Farmer's Market was good today - expect berries, the usual greens/salad stuff/potatoes/cherries/kale etc. Maybe the corn guys will be there! It still might be a week or two early for them but my word their corn was delicious last year. Tomatoes, probably not yet unless they are from a hoop house or the valley. Someone posted a picture of huckleberries on FB. I did not see them or I would have gotten some! I could be sitting outside in the 94 degree heat sipping a frozen huckleberry margarita!
A frozen huckleberry margarita? That sounds delicious!
Anybody else coming to the meeting on Saturday?
I wish I was going to your meeting. Actually, this month marks the 7th anniversary of the first Sacramento meeting. How can I miss that? I'll get to a Moscow meeting one of these days. Have fun!
WOW, Sacramento! 7 years--that seems like a good reason to celebrate! I don't even remember when the Moscow Group started.
Pam, do you remember? I do remember that our first meeting was in March.
Ha, just found it since I'm using the same notebook: 31 March, 2012!
And the fun just keeps rolling along.
Andrea, it would be wonderful to have you come to one of our meetings. It's wonderful to have a support group once you've been bitten by the travel bug! Meeting all of you at the Sacramento Group was so much fun last year, I hope to get down again before too long.
So sorry to hear that Terri from Lewiston can't make it but it's understandable...her kids are coming to visit. Hmmm, maybe she'll do what I did one meeting, brought Leah with me! That was especially fun because she was bitten by the travel bug when she was little and so thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone and getting to talk travel.
Our grandkids will be with us for a while on Saturday. They've been to Germany, New Zealand and Australia, ages ages twelve and fifteen, and will entertain themselves at the farmers market and the coffee shop while the meeting is going on.
They are honorary members of the group anyway as they've been before, lol!
If anyone is interested I can bring my new waterproof travel raincoat for showing and telling. I call it "The Flasher" model and it is a pound lighter than my old one.
Darn, Roger is helping a friend with a project tomorrow so he will miss this. Darcy and I will have our phones out to video and then post immediately to YouTube.
Whooo, yes, we will have our phones out and ready to video "The Flasher!" Monte, does Sharon have one too?
en-oh, en-oh, en-oh
Oh, ok, Monte. Actually I'll leave the video-taking to Pam.
It's great to hear that the new raincoat is so light but is it as waterproof as the Eddie Bauer Wetheredge? I sure like mine and since it has a hood I don't even bother with an umbrella. Thank goodness I learned about it from you at one of our original Travel Meetings, Monte and Sharon.
Today's the day! Looking forward to seeing some of the Moscow Group and hearing all about travel dreams and trip reports!
