International Travel Meeting (Virtual) Sunday, February 6 @ 9:30am Pacific Time

It’s time for another International Travel Meeting. If you like talking about travel and interacting with others who share the same passion this is the place for you.

There’s a limit to the number of participants. You must reply to this thread to be invited. The first 24 people to respond will have priority to be admitted to the meeting. I can send more invites in case any of the those 24 people don't log in. We have a 5 minute grace period starting at 9:30 a.m. After that any others still in the 'waiting room' can be admitted, up to a total of 24 people. So far this hasn’t been an issue. If someone finds they can’t participate after all, I would appreciate it if you can let me know as soon as possible.

Every meeting there will be a topic or two to discuss. Of course we will discuss other things as well.

Topics for this month:

  • Things you discovered accidentally that were a highlight of your trip and things that you looked forward to and were disappointed in.

    • Travel misadventures & mishaps 2.0. Several people asked me for the opportunity for more stories.

Please let me know in a reply to this post or with a PM if you are interested. If you have participated previously I already have your email address. If you haven’t you will need to send it to me in a PM.
I will be emailing the Zoom link an hour or two before the meeting begins.

Future meetings:
March 6

@sweetshell1956, hello! It was a nice surprise to see your name. We still have the Sacramento meetings if you are interested. Keep an eye out for the monthly announcement, but it is still the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00. Please PM me your email address so I can send the Zoom link.

@jmebelle, please PM me your email address as well. Thanks!

Please count me in!

I could tell the Polish massage story, if I get up the nerve!

I always blush when I tell it but I don't think it shows on Zoom!

I think you’re correct that blushing doesn’t show on Zoom. It’s a great story and I think people will enjoy it. If you tell your story I’ll tell mine. I will just say that it involves a pedicure in Austria that put me in a very awkward position. I’ll tell the rest at the meeting.

I haven't heard enough misadventures & mishaps. Travel misadventures & mishaps 2.0 sounds like a hoot.

We are currently at 22 people, leaving 2 more slots. There are two people of those 22 who have not provided email addresses, so who knows about them. Every month at least one, if not more, end up canceling. Anyone who is interested in the meeting please let me know. So far everyone has been able to join in.

Hope there's still a slot open. Please add me!

Jody, you are the +1, but I’m still waiting for an email address from someone. If this month is like all the others there will probably be someone else who can’t make it.
