International Travel Meeting (Virtual) - Sun. March 6th @ 9:30am

Who’s ready for another International Travel Meeting? If you like talking about travel and interacting with others who share the same passion this is the place for you.

There’s a limit to the number of participants. You must reply to this thread to be invited. The first 24 people to respond will have priority to be admitted to the meeting. I can send more invites in case any of the those 24 people don't log in. We have a 5 minute grace period starting at 9:30 a.m. After that any others still in the 'waiting room' can be admitted, up to a total of 24 people. So far this hasn’t been an issue. If someone finds they can’t participate after all, I would appreciate it if you can let me know as soon as possible.

Every meeting there will be topics to discuss. Of course we will discuss other things as well.

Topics for this month:

  1. How do you organize on the plane?

  2. Do you have any tricks to minimize or manage jet lag?

  3. How do you determine if City/Museum/Transit passes are a good idea?

Please let me know in a reply to this post or with a PM if you are interested. If you have participated previously I already have your email address. If you haven’t you will need to send it to me in a PM.
I will be emailing the Zoom link an hour or two before the meeting begins.

Future meetings:

I will be traveling in April and early May.

Include me for 06 March, please.
I'm always interested in jet lag remedies and transit tricks.

I perk up, too, when I hear confirmation of my feeling that a benefit of getting passes is that it biases your planning/thinking in favor of trying out more rather than conserving.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all. Nelly, there’s no need to apologize for being on the road. This is a travel forum after all. I’ll be traveling this year with two long trips so we won’t have meetings in April, September and October.

Great meeting everyone!

Aimee, I don’t know what happened because I emailed the link to you. I even double checked to be sure I put it in correctly. I’m so sorry you missed the meeting. I hope you can join us for the next one on May 15th. I’ll be traveling until May.

Sounds like you had a great meeting yesterday! Always hate to miss....they are so much fun. Andrea, thanks for all you do.

Just returned (yesterday) from a trip to Italy. Will post elsewhere, but anyone who has vaccinations and a booster will have no problems in Italy. I had unprecedented anxiety over this trip...so I would be happy if I could ease anyone else's fears. Wishing everyone enjoyable travels.
