International Travel Meeting-Saturday 10/30 @ 9:30 a.m. Pacific Time

Who would like to join us for another International Travel Meeting? If you enjoy talking about travel and interacting with others that share the same passion this is the place for you.

There is a limit to the number of participants. You must reply to this thread to be invited. The first 24 people to respond will be admitted to the meeting. I can send more invites in case any of the those 24 people don't log in. We will have a 5 minute grace period starting at 9:30 a.m. After that any others still in the 'waiting room' can be admitted, up to a total of 24 people. So far this hasnโ€™t been an issue. If someone finds they canโ€™t participate after all, I would appreciate it if you can let me know as soon as you know.

Each month there will be a topic or two to discuss. More suggestions are welcome for future months. Of course we will discuss other things as well.

Topics for this month:

  • Passes - City, museum, transportation, rail, etc. Where and when are they worth it?
  • Where do you like to revisit and why?

Please let me know in a reply to this post or with a PM if you are interested. If you have participated previously I already have your email address. If you havenโ€™t you will need to send it to me in a PM.

I will be emailing the Zoom link an hour or two before the meeting begins.

Next meeting: Sunday, December 5

I would love to join, but I may not be able to sign in right at 9:30. It might be closer to 9:45 but no later than 10. Is that OK?

Lola, that should be fine unless we have more than 24 (not including me) logging in.

Andrea, please add me if there is still room. Thanks

Iโ€™ve put you all on my list.

Two first time posters have said they are interested, but have not provided their email addresses. Iโ€™ve sent them Private Messages (PM), but as of right now neither has responded. Not knowing if they understand how to retrieve or send a PM Iโ€™m noting it here. If there are any questions about how to get the information to me, post here and Iโ€™ll help you.

Nigel, I will put you on the list and admit you when youโ€™re available if thereโ€™s room. I suspect that wonโ€™t be a problem.

We are at 21 people, not counting the two new posters that havenโ€™t yet supplied me with their email addresses. After 5 days I donโ€™t expect to hear back. We still have 3 more spots if anyone else is interested.

So maybe I am OK to join late? I will try to get there as close to 9:30 as I can, but we have a standing โ€œdateโ€ for dog-walking with friends on Saturday mornings and sometimes it runs past then.

The final count is in and the zoom link has been emailed to everyone. There wonโ€™t be a problem for anyone who needs to log in after the meeting begins. See you all soon!

Hi Andrea, if you have time would you send us a zoom link. We have a call happening at 9am to Germany and if that ends early we will try to join the meeting, again if you spot us in the waiting room :)

It was great to hear from everyone today! Fun stories, good tips, but I only wish we had mentioned Budapest, too.

Itโ€™s too bad Chani forgot to mention she had just returned from Budapest. Lol! I was happy to discover that she has stayed twice in the apartment we had to cancel last year. We will definitely rebook it when we get a chance to go there.

Gee, I seem to recall someone mighta mentioned being to Budapest recently โ€ฆ I just remember they seemed really happy to be traveling again :)

PS has the requisite amount of times been reached yet Chani? ;)

Taking Cyprus off my list (I hear they routinely set hotels on fire there) and putting Budapest on. Funny no one mentioned Budapest today. (I am only #6.)

Thanks, as always, Andrea!
