Group Name

Okay, here is the Sacramento group dilemma. We will be manning the phone bank when Rick is in Sacramento for a pledge drive later this month. Our group needs to come up with a name. I'm looking for suggestions.

And go...

Thanks!

Oh! To have your dilemmas! :0

Call yourselves Rick's Rangers and get on with it! Those tote bags do not sell themselves.

Oh, Andrea -

do we get a cut of the commission if we pick the name?

The Sacto Rickniks. Then we could be the Moscow Rickniks when Rick comes to the area which I am sure is on his agenda. Surely everyone in the world has Moscow, Idaho on their bucket list, yes?

Some good suggestions. I'll ask the others to take a look at these.

Of course Nigel. You can have 50% of our commission. I think 50% of $0 (or €0) is $0.

Darcy, I'm almost certain that Moscow, ID is his next stop after Sacramento. Almost. Don't quote me.

Or, for truth in advertising, Sacramento Travel Addicts ??

How about 'Backdoor Groupies' with or without Sacramento in the name?

You can tell that Laura B knows us well. Although you and Ed might qualify as bigger addicts since you go to both the Bay Area meetings and the Sacramento meetings!

Guilty as charged -- and we're not even trying for recovery!

How about the Panera Promoters?
Sactotravelholics?
Sacto-Steves-nics?
This sounds like fun for you all! One of my best friends (and great travel buddy) volunteers at the SF KQED pledge drives and has once or twice worked one of RIck's travel marathons. She was quite impressed with his generosity and graciousness.

If you send me your email address in a private message giving me your name, I can provide you with more specific information. If you're still interested I can email my contact at KVIE. It appears there are 12 spots and our group is at 5 right now. He said he was going to ask some other people. I don't know if he has found others yet.

More importantly, is Rick coming to the monthly meeting?

Both of which, Kat, would carry a considerably different message on this side of the pond......

Whatever you do, I hope it is a really fun and enjoyable time, and all for a great cause too.

I haves a special place in my heart for PBS/NPR pledge drives - that's where I got my wife....

Thanks Nigel. I think you got a fantastic prize at your pledge drive.

Today's the day. Our group name may be a bit boring, but hopefully we won't be. I've been informed by the person who contacted me at the PBS station that we will be meeting Rick and will be able to ask some questions. What to ask???? I'll start a new thread for ideas.
