First Tulsa Travel Group Meeting a Success!

Congratulations!!

That's great! Travel groups are so much fun.

Thanks to all of you on this Forum who urged us to form a Travel Group. It was a good time, and I hope we can keep it going. At least four of the people who were there evinced an interest in continuing.

Thanks Jane for starting it up. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I have a 5k to run that morning, but I will come afterwards. maybe a tad late to clean up. It was great. Maybe I can get my other friend to come. I do know another couple but don't have contact info. I will try to find it and contact them. They have been on a RS trip.

Congrats on your successful meeting. And to reinforce what you said about the makeup of your group, our group in Sacramento is much the same. We have been meeting for 6 years and regularly have 15+ people attend. Some people only come a time or two when wanting help planning a trip. Most have never been on a RS tour (including myself), many are on this forum only occasionally, and some are never on the forum. What we have in common is a passion for travel.

I'm so happy that your meeting was a success.
Our SF Bay Area group has maybe 7 core members (We've added a few more in the last year) and we really enjoy getting together to cheer each other on and enjoy the travel stories.
It helps if you can meet monthly at the same time and place and if you can encourage each other to bring an interested friend or two.
Be warned -- these meetings can be addictive! (A few of us even drive up to Sacramento occasionally for their meetings!)
