We’ll be celebrating Leap Year at our February meeting on 2/29 10:00 a.m. at Panera Bread on Nyberg Road in Tualatin. . Please bring your travel questions. Also be thinking about the topic of the month— how do you organize your travel documents and miscellany?
I think we can yield to this panel of "experts"....

As an alternative - can we address alternative tours? I just got back from one...and I'd like to share my findings.

Hang on to your castanets.
I thought the meetings went from the 3rd Saturday to the 4th Saturday, when did they move to the 5th Saturday?
Next month....the 6th?
(No es posible!)
Nancy — mea culpa. You’re right — 4th Saturday not last Saturday. I think I conflated 4th Saturday with last Saturday. To avoid confusion as it’s already announced as 2/29, let’s keep it there for February and then fix it in March. Doug has a good idea for a topic, so if you have ideas about alternative tours, bring ‘em.
Wow! Somebody actually took the time to spam our travel group!
Thank you for clarifying the date. I look forward to meeting folks on Leap Day!
See you this Saturday at 10 a.m. at Panera Bread on Nyberg Road in Tualatin. In addition to chatting about recent and upcoming trips we’ll be discussing alternative travel and tips for organizing our trip preparations.
Hi Patricia, I am very interested in taking a RS Tour, but have not yet done so. Is this group open to would be travelers like me?
Hi, Kathleen. You’re very welcome to attend our group meetings. Although we have loosely gathered under the umbrella of Rick Steves tours, our discussions are by no means limited to tours operated by his company. In fact, this month we will be discussing alternative tours. I, myself, will be traveling to Poland in a few weeks to volunteer at an English language immersion camp, and others in our group will be talking about other types of travel. We are just people who love to travel. If you have questions about specific Rick Steves tours, many of us in the group have taken tours by his company and would be happy to answer your questions. Please come. We would love to meet you!
I'll be there. I'm a new traveler. I've already posted some questions about my first euro trip coming up in december.
I plan to be there on Saturday.
Doug’s convinced me.
We will try to be there.
Hey Patricia,
Great to meet you and everyone else in the group. I learned a lot about alternative travel opportunities from Doug and others. I look forward to retiring soon and taking some of those 30-90 day long adventures in Europe you all described. Everyone's knowledge and experience was so helpful and can make such a difference when traveling.
Thanks again
Scott
