Denver travel group meeting, 20 Dec 2025

At the next meeting, I want to consider moving our monthly meeting to the second Saturday instead of the third. This would avoid the "conflict" with Christmas. Would that create any new conflicts?

Well, maybe. Our regular meeting this year in April will be on the 18th, 3 days after
income tax due date. If we move it to the second Saturday, the 11th, we will all be frantically working to get our tax returns in on time.

I'm planning on coming Saturday. I wouldn't be able to make the 2nd Saturday meetings, so I hope we stay on the 3rd one.

My suggestion - keep it on the 3rd Saturday but consider moving the Nov and Dec meetings to the 2nd Saturday

I will be there and am interested in receiving the group's thoughts on Morocco and San Sebastian.

I have other plans on Saturday so won’t be able to go to the meeting. But, I hope everyone has a great holiday. See you in 2026…

If I don't make it, I will be sad not to tease Jen about golf courses in Morocco and Happy Holidays to you all!

Will be there Saturday. I prefer to stay with the third Saturday. We can occasionally change to second Saturday if needed.

Last year, our meeting was on the 21st, only 4 days before Christmas - too close.
This year it's on the 20th, 5 days before Christmas.
Next two years its 6 and 7 days before, than 9, 10, and 11 days before.
We've just gotten by the worst, the next years get longer before Christmas
We won't get back to 4 days before until 2030, so we have plenty of time to decide.

Some people have suggested we move the meeting forward before Christmas, then move it back.
There are 52/12=4-1/3 weeks per month. Normally there are 4 weeks between meetings. One third of the time, 4 months, it's 5 weeks.
I would be reluctant to move it forward when there are only 4 weeks between meeting, making it 3 weeks.
I would also be reluctant to move the meeting back to the 3rd week when there are 5 weeks between meetings, making it 6 weeks.

Who knew meeting scheduling could be so complicated.
