Please join us at our next Washington DC Region Rick Steves Travel Meetup on Sunday, January 13 at 10:00am @ Teaism - Penn Quarter, 400 8th St, NW, Washington DC. We will meet downstairs, where most of the seating is. As usual, we'll have a blue and yellow Rick Steves guide on the table.
I plan on attending, but just found out that the dreaded Metro has a bunch of stations closed on the Yellow and Blue lines that weekend.
Rachel, could I perhaps tag along with you in the car? I can meet you somewhere convenient so you don't have to go much out of your way.

The current weather forecast is for snow on January 13. I walk to the meetings but would rather not show up and find that I am the only one there. Might I request that, if the weather is iffy, folks post late Saturday or early Sunday as to whether or not they plan to attend? I'm hoping the weather forecast will be more encouraging by Saturday.

It looks like we only have 2 "definites" for Sunday (and we both live close to each other), so perhaps it's better to just reschedule for February? Laura, should I just reach out to everyone over e-mail and decide on a date that works for the greatest number?
I'm late to reply. I'm planning on being there Sunday unless the buses aren't running.
Ok, we may have up to 4 people then - assuming the weather cooperates. Never mind what I wrote, maybe we can just play by ear and see what happens. I'll plan on carpooling with Rachel if she's up for it on Sunday. Let's plan on being in touch over e-mail by Sunday AM at the latest.

They are now saying 4 to 8 inches. I’d have to shovel my car out plus no idea how well DC streets will be cleaned. I’m going to go ahead and say “no” for me tomorrow.

I think that brings our number down to two. Probably best to cancel at this point. Disappointing. It feels like forever since I’ve been able to attend.
