DC Area Travel Meeting - Saturday, April 30th @ 10:00 am

Hello Everyone,

Please feel free to join us for another fun get-together, this time in Arlington, VA in the Westover neighborhood. Below is all the info. If you could, please let me know if you can make it (if enough people cannot make it, I will try another date in April but hopefully this one will work). If you live in DC proper and are car-free and still want to join us, please let me know if you need a ride over and we can coordinate. Please note that there are two locations for the Italian Store (one on Lee Highway and one in Westover); we will be meeting at the Westover location. I will try to show up early and grab a table outside. You'll see a copy of RS books on the table, so you'll know where to find us.

Agnes, that works for me. I've never been to the Italian Store so I look forward to checking out a new spot. Thanks for organizing this!

Hi Agnes -

My name is Allison Miller and Rachel is a friend of mine who was kind enough to invite me to this event. I have never traveled internationally but my daughter is planning a study abroad trip to Rome in May. Super overwhelmed with how to begin so Rachel said you experienced travelers would be a great resource. I am planning to attend and really appreciate your sharing!

Regards,

Allison Miller

Agnes: I just now looked at the date and realized it is today--I cannot make it, but would very much like to be included in future meetings. Hope everyone has a great time!

It was great to see everyone, including some new faces! The Italian Store turned out to be a fun place to meet - outside seating was perfect, there were plenty of food options, and a great place to shop for Italian goods (I was really bummed about not being able to score some Limoncello, thanks to VA's antiquated liquor laws). Darrel, hopefully you can us join next month when we are planning to meet again.
