SF Bay Area Travel Meeting

We'd love to have you join us on Saturday, August 8th, to talk about travel... We always have fun and it's a great way to meet others to share stories, info and to talk about your past and/or upcoming trip.

We meet every 2nd Saturday of the month (Aug 8th this time), 12:00 Noon, at:

Marin Brewing Company
1809 Larkspur Landing Circle, Larkspur
(Locals call this area "Larkspur Landing")

Marin Brewing Company is located in a shopping center called "Marin Country Mart" on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. It's directly across from the Larkspur ferry terminal.

When coming from the Richmond/San Rafael bridge take the 2nd freeway exit that says "Sir Francis Drake Blvd" and just stay on that road.

If coming from SF or from the north on 101, take the "Sir Francis Drake Blvd" exit and go east, the shopping center will be on your left.

Come in and look for us inside or outside on their patio... there will be a RS book on the table.

If you can't be there at 12:00 it's ok, we're usually there for 2-3 hrs, so come on by... even if late!

Let us know if you plan to come and we'll look forward to seeing you on Saturday, August 8th!

See you there! According to my calendar, this will be the one-year anniversary of the SF group, but we can defer the cake unless Eileen wants to come from Sacramento to jump out of it.

Oh Ed and Lauri! Now you've started something! You know Eileen--now you're guaranteed she'll be there with a comment like that. I am sure she will not be able to resist jumping out of a cake, especially if it's limoncello cake!

Eileen and I have discussed it, and a couple of other Sac people may be interested too. Since it is your first anniversary AND since Eileen and I were there for meeting #1, I think we are obligated now. Cake jumping is optional, but not to be ruled out.

Super! Will we have a doggie visitor too ? Or is he on duty guarding the house?

Riley now has the freedom to go in & out of the house. I think we will leave him at home. Jim, on the other hand, will probably come with me.

Cake jumping is never optional.

Jim may be 'dodgy', though.

First anniversary? YEA! Andrea, is that a money belt or 3oz refillable shampoo containers for anniversary gifts? You did some sleuthing and discovered that daybags were the appropriate gift for our 5th anny last month...

So glad you're coming Andrea, Jim, Eileen and maybe others from Sac! And of course Lauri and Ed!

Looking forward to your cake popping out of Eileen.

Our First Anniversary... Hmm... Isn't paper for the 1st anniversary? Paper... as in money... money makes a very nice gift.

Bummer! It's our annual family get-together at the horse races at the Sonoma County Fair. Sorry I'm going to be missing the festivities. Have fun!

I sure hate to miss this month, especially with Eileen popping out of the anniversary cake. (Photos, please!) But I will be doing my OTHER favorite thing, which is Contra dancing at our SF urban dance camp with 250 of my closest friends (except for y'all, of course.)
Have a wonderful time. I will look forward to seeing most of you next month!

Expect 5 of us from Sac. Me, Jim, Eileen, Kitty & David. Be sure to have a cake big enough for Eileen to jump out of.

Again, Andrea - Kiss My Grits.

"...a cake big enough..."

Sheesh ;-)

Eileen, I didn't mean it that way. I meant tall enough. 🎂

OK -- I made some lemon squares (closest I could get to limoncello for Eileen) but they can't be jumped out of. New mix, so no guarantee.

Very fun get-together thanks to every one that came!

Let's do it again Sept. 12th!
