Coeur d'Alene/Spokane Travel Mtg: Jan. 4 on-line thru Zoom. Meeting capacity is full.

January 4 - On-line @10am Pacific Time
If you’ve wondered what actually happens at this area’s travel group meeting besides eating great pastries & coffee, our January meeting will be on-line. (All of our other months are in person at Woops Bakery in Coeur d’Alene.). We already have Sterling & Mary planning to join in from the Seattle area! (heart!).
“Show & tell” can be showing us travel items you received for Christmas or the snowman in your yard!
Please send me your email by PM through the forum if you would like to join this one. Thanks!. Jean

Update - These are the travelers joining the January mtg:

Pam, I would love to join your zoom travel class but I will be traveling January 4. I hope it is a success and you have another one, because for me I love to meet RS posters and new people to talk and hear about travel.

Oh shoot. I have been busy and didn't get my spot in. You have my email address I believe, Jean, so let me know if there's a spot! Otherwise, I'll see everyone at the February meeting hopefully!

Hi Judy, we’ve usually had one Zoom meeting in January just because the weather can be either snowy or unpredictable for that week, February and the rest are back to our normal Woops Bakery location.

Sent a phone text. ; )

Just a reminder that we’re on Zoom tomorrow. See you back at the bakery in February!

I can see from the Traffic cams that you do happen to have a reasonable amount of snow lying right now. If the forecast is right (and I doubt it is) the English Lake District is set to get as much snow this weekend as the I90 over Snoqualmie- both due about ten inches.
I'm even due snow and I'm at sea level.

I did think about trying to attend this, but waited way too long. I've not used Zoom as Zoom (usually use it simultaneously converted to Facebook) since last Easter and Nigel tells me it's changed a lot since then.

Jean, thank you for letting us join your online meeting while you're staying indoors!

I've found 5 different colors of stickies to lay out my vision board for trips these next few years, including getting back to Italy!

CWsocial, Nigel, Andrea & our other guests, we enjoyed having you join us! I do think we need to plan a Coeur d’Alene in-person weekend meet up invitation to our beautiful area and let fellow forum members experience our fun group of local travelers’ meeting at the bakery. : )

Jean, so sorry I missed it! I'm still in St. Paul and will probably be here through Saturday. But I love the idea of a weekend travel meetup!

Let’s make it happen! I will discuss it with our travel group at our February meeting. We will need to find a month when we all can stay home to host it - LOL!

I went through CdL in 2018 when we flew to Spokane for a wedding in Missoula. Going back to the airport we diverted to the lake and walked around a bit, but there was snow on the ground and it was icy. The area is stunning. I would love to go back and meet up with you folks. In person meetings are so much fun. Ours in Sacramento have lasted as long as 8 hours for some of us hardcore members. ;-)
