@Mary and Sterling…for you I timed my transit from 2E to 2F yesterday at CDG.
Landed at M gates on tarmac ~30 minutes early at 7:36A. Took time to get the stairs wheeled up as these areas are not accessed with a jetway. Stepped Off the plane at about 750. Piled on shuttle (was one of the last ones on the first shuttle so didn’t have to wait long) to Immigration area and then followed signs to 2F. Long walk from terminal to terminal then Security first which went pretty quickly. Probably took 15 minutes in auxiliary lane to the far left I was directed to. Liquids/iPad tablet out and he was holding a ziplock to give to people. My freezer quart ziplock passed approval. Then border control. Literally no line as there I was directed to the egates. I was behind 2 Brits but he was still getting himself recombobulated after security so they laughingly waved me ahead as he belted jeans on. Border control employee inserted my passport saying “It’s touchy, let me do it for you”. A quick Bonjour to the Border Control stamp guy and I was off. 1 comfort stop and got to gate at 2F at 8:55. Quite efficient process although I kind of knew where I was going. But any transit time under 2 hours would not work. I walked steadily but did not run. I did NOT stop at the Longchamp store until I sussed out my gate and went back, lol.
I thought the transit thru CDG was excellent BUT only if your flight itinerary has given you ample time.
Total time from the door of the plane to the next gate: 1h5m
My Milan flight was indicated to start boarding at 10:45 for an 11:20 departure but they actually started letting folks thru at 10:39. Everyone was on board by about 11:10 but I suspect they could not leave early as they probably had a departure spot assigned.
