Coeur d’Alene/Spokane Travel Group, Saturday, March 5

Whew, Pam just reminded me to post our upcoming travel group meeting! Where was my mind? Well, in Italy, of course - LOL! I’ve been f-o-c-u-s-e-d planning details! ; )

We will meet at our usual spot at 10am - Woops! French Bakery, 119 N 4th St, in downtown Coeur d'Alene.

Any specific topic requests?
EDIT: If you create any itinerary spreadsheet formats for your trips that you would like to share, please bring a couple of copies.

There’s an idea, Mary! Skip all of the trains and just ride Vespas! …and maybe up my travel insurance coverage - LOL!

All-righty! Ready to talk travel and TBH it was Aimee that asked me...so she gets the credit!

I'll bring what I'm using for an itinerary template. I do mine in google docs so I can access from any of my devices (doesn't THAT sound fancy, lol!!)

Today feels a little spring-y! and it looks like we might even have some sun on Saturday!

Wait, does Mary's post mean you have WINE at your meetings?

Hahaha…Jane, does that mean we can expect a visit?

Unfortunately I don’t think this cool French Bakery has wine! I’ve only ever noticed their coffee menu.

Hi everybody,

I am disappointed but think that I should stay home tomorrow. My husband has an ugly stomach flu, and I really don’t want to pass those germs amongst our fun group! Have a great time, and I’ll see you in April!

Whoever arrives first, just try to set out napkins on the wood table to hold it for everyone.

Oh Jean, yuck. I’ll try to get there early and stake out the big table.

I'm sorry to be missing the group meeting again this month. We are currently in HI. We figured everyone already seems to have gone this year, so it's our turn! Lol.

Have a great time in Hawaii, Terri! We brought back the 1st Spring weather. You need to bring back the 2nd Spring weather! ; )

Terri! So happy you are enjoying Hawaii!

Jean, you were missed!

We had surprise guests, Monte and Sharon from the Moscow Meet up! Because they've visited Ukraine 4 times we talked a good bit about the country and how things were when they were there last in 2019...complete with trip photos from that trip. And of course they were wearing their beautifully crafted Ukrainian shirts.

Aimee did a quick session for me on how to set up ApplePay and face ID. I think I'm ready to join the 21st Century, lol! Thank you Aimee!

Sorry I missed you, Monte & Sharon!

So far I have avoided my husband’s flu. In the meantime, I’m at the fun stage of my trip planning - filling in the rest of my days with some occasional activity options, such as an outdoor painting class (a canvas, not someone’s building!) at Citta Alta in Bergamo and a bike tour in Parma. When I travel solo, I like some small-group activity about every 3-4 days where English is spoken.

Our next meeting will be April 2.
