This Saturday: Coeur d’Alene/Spokane Travel Group Jan. 15 Meeting

EDIT: Changing the date to the Jan. 15 because of our weather.

Happy New Year, and may this be the year we’re all back to international trips again!

We will meet at our usual spot - Woops! French Bakery, 119 N 4th St, Coeur d'Alene. Saturday, Jan. 15 at 10am.

If you received any Christmas travel gifts or items that remind you of Europe, bring them for a Show & Tell!

Yes! I'll be there as long as this stubborn cold has abated. I've tested negative twice for Covid so feel certain it's just a regular run-of-the-mill cold picked up from the 2-year-old great nephew. I'm a week in so should be OK by Saturday.

I hope Mary got Sterlin that pink nightie for travel, lol!!

Thank you Jean for organizing this!

I'll be there weather permitting too. Hoping for rain rather than snow.

So who all is planning to be at the Coeur d'Alene meeting on the 15 January? Sure wish I could be there but I do not like driving in the snow! (Just wanted to bump this up.)

Jean apparently has assigned me homework, lol. I'm taking a look at the Sherpa website someone mentioned on another thread as a resource for understanding current restrictions for travel.

Let's also talk about the article posted from The Points Guy which discussed how difficult it was for the person to get an appointment for a pre-travel Covid Test. I know right now in CdA and Spokane that would be an impossibility. Not only are there no appointments but the turnaround time for results is not within the needed time frame.

Just adding a comment to any of the Spokane folks. If you are in need of N95 masks, the CdA Home Depot has a bunch of 3M Aura N95s in stock in case the Spokane Home Depots are out. You can buy online and set it for pick up in the parking lot so you don't have to go in with all the unmasked Idahoans.
