I just sent you a message. I live in the Tri Cities, would love to come as I have so many questions, but my son and family coming from Seattle for Easter.
We are joining our daughter who has an event in Stockholm in June for 3 days. I am very unfamiliar w what is possible to add to an additional 7 day itinerary. Is it possible to see Hungary or Poland on same trip? My daughter mentioned Amalfi Coast. Oslo?

Or, just stay in Sweden, but not my preference. Any suggestions welcome, please. She is flying in and out of Stockholm June 17-29. We need to book now, I imagine rates going up. I'm paralyzed as don't know what is reasonable. It is so much easier to just go to Hawaii and sit on the beach, but have fond memories of our trip to Peru that required alot of planning.

So, I welcome any suggestions of an itinerary, starting and ending in Stockholm
Thank you to this CDA group for any help you can offer.
P.S. My niece lives in CDA in my sister's condo where she had hoped to retire, but sadly, no longer w us. I'm originally from IF.

I definitely plan to be there Saturday. Just started getting ready for Paris and refreshing my memory on details for the trip. Will be great to see everyone!

Pam - I get extra croissants now to take home! Not for the grandkids but for me! :)

Hi Chris! You'd be welcome any time you could get over this way! We had a private debate about whether to meet on the Saturday before Easter and none of the regulars had plans/guests that weekend so went ahead. We meet the 1st Saturday of each month. In January we have been doing it by Zoom since half our group lives in Spokane and has a longer drive in possibly wintry conditions. One of us always posts a meeting notice.

Honestly, to me Amalfi Coast is just so far away from Sweden and more difficult to get to. IF you wanted to do Italy, I'd check to see if there is a direct flight from Stockholm to Rome and then book your ticket so you fly home from Rome instead of having to go back to Sweden for the onward flight.

Do some checking on google flights or on the Stockholm Airport (ARN) website to see where there are direct flights and then choose based on that. If there are direct flights to Budapest or one of the cities in Poland then that would work as well.

I'd also recommend you start a thread under General Europe asking about destinations from Stockholm and mention there whether you've already booked your round trip ticket to Stockholm....it doesn't sound like it??

Hi Chris, I had relatives staying with me, leaving this morning, so I sent you a private message this morning with my thoughts for your trip. I agree with Pam; the greater forum audience will respond quickly with ideas, also, for your trip. The more details that you can share about what you’re wanting to do (regardless of location), the more helpful the responses will be for you.

Look forward to meeting you when you’re able to come join us another month!

The weather is supposed to be beautiful and so glad you will be able to join us! We are generally at the big wooden table in the center.

AND....to the regulars(or anyone who can pick up!!)...anyone want a Fluidity exercise barre or a Teeter Hang-up (back stretcher)? They have been moved to the garage as there is no room in our workout room.

Pam, I forgot to say, we have also done Seymour Travels with Lorraine and Liz! I've seen some of your posts and I know you have enjoyed them as well. We really enjoyed the English Garden stay vacation we took in the Cotswolds!

I look forward to hopefully meeting you all this summer.

Pam and Jean, it was great to finally meet you after enjoying your posts for years. Such a nice group of folks! Beautiful setting and the weather was a bonus. I may need to give Paris another try (but after England and Spain) :-)
