I'll be in the area, hahahaha!! Yes, I'll be there and ready to hear about people's trips.

I am fairly certain Cathy told me she was going to miss this one but will be there in May. Judy is leaving soon so will probably have her good underwear packed and be wearing the ones from the B Team but since we don't look at unders all should be good. It will be warm enough to wear one of my striped shirts from the stripey shirt vendor at the Bastille Market so if Leslie will wear hers we will be twins...sort of (different color shirts!). Brenda? Ann? Lisa? others?

And Jean, we'll want a report on your most recent trips!

I promise to wear my stripey shirt. Looking forward to seeing everyone and hearing about trips and any new plans.

Whoa, wait. We in the Tulsa area Travel Group evidently missed a memo about reporting on people's garments, especially (but not exclusively) undergarments.

Did I miss that page in the Travel Group Guidebook? And I'm troubled now, that my underwear won't pass muster.

And it's interesting that one of your people takes the good underwear on tour; at least one of our group, who shall remain nameless (looking at you, KP!), takes her tired, worn out undies on tour, and discards them to lighten the load as the trip progresses. I wonder if Lisa Friend mentions that as a strategy in her packing video for Monday Night Travel.

Jane,

The last place I would want to be wearing old underwear that’s getting uncomfortable is during a trip when I’m walking much more than at home. That’s also when I want the most reliable ones since I’m taking so few. ; )

I guess I missed an interesting topic last month when I was traveling - LOL!

Jean, I guess I know what to add to the agenda for our April Tulsa meeting! "Undies: old or new?"

Jane, LOL! That meeting could have some “revealing stories”! A few years ago my husband & I were in Hawaii, and I brought three bras - two that were old favorites, but I didn’t suspect that could be a problem. Two days in succession, their underwire proceeded to break! So, I’m on Team Newer Underwear from experience. ; )

OMG....Jane! This has taken a turn, hahaha.

Jean, that was a learning experience wasn't it?

Back in the 70's my Aunt was a journalist for TIME magazine and went on the trip Nixon took to China. She took old undies and threw a pr away in the hotel room trash can as they were leaving. The press was boarded on their bus and a little housekeeper came running out with my Aunt's undies indicating she had forgotten them! Auntie was mortified and I am sure the whole press corps got a huge laugh.

So....the good ones go with me!!

Yes, great discussion topic, hahaha! Oh my...I will be giggling all day long!

Wow! Sorry to disappoint Pam but I actually have some underwear that takes up practically no space so I mainly save for travel! Do you want me to bring a sample (not wear!) for Saturday? And, Pam, I don't leave until next Wednesday for the airport hotel so I haven't gotten to packing them yet. At this point just watching temps and switching out tops I plan to pack as the temp forecast gets warmer. Spent far more time on gathering all the odds and ends like passports, logistic notes, ready to pack. Can't wait.
And, I will write down the market name for the striped sweaters Saturday so I can try to stop by the following weekend and buy one for myself to match you and Leslie. :)
See you all Saturday - will bring my latest addition to my travel bags that I think I will be actually be happy using in Paris.
Jean, I will save my thoughts on your experience with underwear till I see you. :)

For any new visitors, I promise the underwear topic will just be a short side topic on Saturday! We have several trips from our regulars who either just finished a trip or have one coming up. : )

I will be asking about toiletry kits people prefer since my favorite LLBean one was ruined from the strong chemical fragrance I couldn’t remove after placing the Oil of Olay face wash melts in it.

Jean, I've got some toiletry kits I don't use any more so I will bring them in case they will work for you.

And yes, if we have guests, I promise not to talk about underwear. I will be on my best behavior.

We may have a record turn out Saturday with Pam promising to be on her best behavior- LOL! Just don’t order the last red velvet cookie on display in line ahead of her. ; )

Sounds like you’re getting a little rowdy!
I won’t be there this month, but if I may, I’d like to mention a toiletry bag that has been wonderful. The Sea to Summit bag…two sizes..we have the larger. It’s perfect for two people, although the smaller might be better for solo trips. It hangs from precarious places in tiny European bathrooms, weighs less than 5 oz. and has multiple zippered pockets. REI and Amazon both carry them.

Have a good time tomorrow!

Cathy, we missed you! And interesting about the Sea to Summit toiletry bag. I've eyed the smaller one for years and appreciate the lightweight but fairly sturdy daypack I've got from them. I've gone away from a toiletry bag and just use a ziplock for the liquids and a small very lightweight pouch for the other stuff but it would be nice for it to all be together.

And yes, we did talk about underwear and "I" was not the one that brought it up, haha!

They also had a nice stack of Red Velvet cookies and I just finished the one I got to go, hahaha!

Thanks for the idea, Cathy! Judy also gave me a cute quilted toiletry bag to consider. I came home and washed Dan’s Eagle Creek one that’s so lightweight, it’s almost translucent! When it’s dry, I will do a trial pack in my current Clinique free bag, Judy’s cute one, & Dan’s, and take the best option for a test during the next trip.

Our underwear topic was a couple of minutes max. But we had lots of laughing going on with several entertaining stories to share about being unexpectedly locked in a bathroom in Europe, trying to figure out how to get the door open again! Almost everyone had that experience! LOL!

"But we had lots of laughing going on with several entertaining stories to share about being unexpectedly locked in a bathroom in Europe, trying to figure out how to get the door open again! Almost everyone had that experience! LOL!"

AND the tip of the day was to consciously remember whether the door to the toilette opens as a slider or in/out swing!!
