Boise Meeting Tuesday July 16 at 3pm

Any travelers in the Boise area?

A few of us from Boise are going to meet at the Cole and Ustick Library on Tuesday July 16 at 3pm in the small meeting room.
We would really like to expand the group. Come and talk travel. Some of us have taken RS tours and all have traveled independently.

Three have done European travel in 2019. I use a small wheel bag and others prefer backpacks. So we have a variety of opinions, information, discussions and experiences.

If you are interested, but unable to attend at this time, please respond with what would work for you for a future meeting. We can change to accommodate.

I look forward to seeing everyone.

Just giving my Idaho buds a bumpity bump bump to the top!

Sounds like a fun meet up!

I want to know who's going where next? Up here in the Moscow/Lewiston area Darcy (and her DH) and I are meeting up in Paris in September! It will be the end of her trip and the beginning of mine. I'm taking a Road Scholar trip to Provence afterward!

Janet, I've looked at it for at least a year! I was going to do one on Art History in Belgium and Netherlands but after doing the Rick Steves Belgium and Holland tour in April I decided I did not need a deeper dive into the art history of the area. The Road Scholar programs tend to stay in a couple of places and do day trips which is a nice change from Rick's moving every other night model. This one has us staying in Aix-en-Provence for 6 nights and Arles for 5 nights.

Provence is a huge art area also, but a different type of art than up north. I got the book "Artists and Their Museums on the Riviera" and tried to hit a lot of them! We enjoyed both Aix and Arles and I hope you do too! (I'll loan you the book if you have any interest.)

Thanks for the loan offer. The Road Scholar program does hit a lot of museums but there is not a lot of free time. I've got an afternoon and morning before the tour starts in Aix plus another morning during the week and then in Arles, just an afternoon.

Maybe I'll give you a shout if I decide to revisit on my own!

I have a friend who lives in the area that might like to attend, but she is not on this forum. Can someone please pm me contact info for the organizer?
