we arrive at the Zurich Airport at 8:40 am. If we purchase a ticket to Como at approx. 10:00 am and the flight is late, will they allow us on a later train? Thanks, Ed, Rocklin, CA

I do not see a 10:00 train from the airport, I see 9:47, 10:47, etc. If you buy in advance to get the Special offer price on the direct train from Zurich to Como (46 CHF instead of 85 or so), you are out of luck if you miss the train. Mthose tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. If you pay full price, the ticket can be exchanged with a handling fee. But if you are going to pay full price, you could wait and buy it there. The direct train leaves the Zurich main station at 11:09 am,so you would need the 10:47 train from the airport to connect with it. You should be able to make that. I would chance it to save the 40 CHF per person, but there is the risk of missing it if your plane is really late. Make SURE you get a train, not a streetcar, frommthe airport. Mthe train takes 11 to 13 minutes to reach Zurich,,the streetcar takes 50 minutes.
