Joel, Could you provide a bit more information? Navigate for connecting flights, or navigate for access to trains?

If you are referring to traveling to Venice by train from these two airports, it takes awhile but can easily be done. At Zurich, there is a train station just below the building next to the main terminal. Very easy to get to. Then, its an approximate 8.0hr train ride. Note that since your are in the airport, you can fly a budget airline to Marco Polo much faster and most likely, for a lot less money. From Rome, you need to take the Leonardo Express to Rome Termini and then a high-speed to Venice. Then, its a 5hr train ride for 87E. You can also fly a budget airline to Marco Polo for less. Finally, if you are going to Venice, and you have these early choices, why not fly into Marco Polo and save time and money. You can always fly out of another airport.
