Which trains to reserve and not?

Making a trip next September (5persons), which trains should we reserve in advance? London-Bruges, Bruges-Paris, Paris-Lucerne, Lucerne-Rome(nighttrain), Barcelona-Madrid.
Can I purchase train reservations before I buy Eurail passes? Is signing up for e-mail notifications with Raileurope the best option to get reservations as soon they come available.

I would look carefully at whether or not a railpass would pay.

For instance, you only show four days on which a railpass could effectively be used, but the minimum pass is five days. The Lucerne to Rome leg will take two days, making it five, but the Lucerne to Olten part will take a full day but could be purchased without the pass for less.

Bruges to Paris can likely be purchased in advance on a discount fare for little more than the cost of a reservation on Thalys.
