Which train to take from Paris to the Cathedral of Chartres

Hi,

I will be visiting Paris next month. This will be our third trip to Paris. We are planning a trip to the Cathedral of Chartres. I am familiar with the Metro and Euro Star train to London. Could anyone tell me which which train to take to get to the Cathedral of Chartres and which station it leaves from. How long is the trip and what is the train fare. Also is it easier to rent a car and drive to Cathedral of Chartres instead of taking the train?

Take a regional train from Gare Montparnasse to Chartres. The fare is €12.90. There is frequent service (once ot twice an hour) throughout the day. Your ticket will be good on any train all day long.

Take the train as Tim mentioned above. There are several train stations in Paris--each one going to specific destinations. Make sure you go to the train station that Tim has mentioned. The metro will get you there without any problems. It's such an easy trip going by train and the Cathedral is definitely worth the time.
