Hi, I've been researching on ticket prices from various sites and have few questions: Switzerland to Paris - a) Is it safe, reliable and economical to purchase Interlaken to Paris tickets from SBB.CH? I noticed RailEurope is charging more and doesn't offer some discount offers that are available on SBB.CH web site? Has anyone purchase it from SBB.CH? b) If I purchase via SBB.CH, do I need to provide local (Swiss) address to collect the tickets? Paris
a) We will be staying in 15eme for 3 days and planning to Paris local attractions on first two days. Last day we are thinking of visiting Palace (outskirt of Paris) and evening flying out of CDG. What transit zone passes should we purchase? Any pointers on above transit questions and reasonable Veg eating options/locations will be appreciated. Thanks!
It is the national rail site. Very safe to use it. Most sites now allow you to print your ticket at home. But have not used SBB.
Thanks Frank.
Day and multi-day passes in Paris are poor value for money unless you are staying from Monday to Sunday and can get a Parisian's seven-day pass (which is only valid beginning Mondays). Otherwise, get ten ticket "carnets" (car-neh) each of which is valid for a single journey by any form of public transport within central Paris with unlimited changes between metro and RER lines or between bus routes (but not for changing between road and rail transport methods). I assume by "palace" you mean Versailles: this is too far to go by a carnet ticket and you are best to buy a return ticket just for that journey.
Thanks Philip
