Where to catch a local train into Cinque Terre Vernazza

I will driving in a rental car from Lyon fr to CT Vernazza 7/12. Is Levanto a good place to leave a rental car and catch a local train to Vernazza. Where there a parking lot that works best. Thanks,

The Rick Steves travel book for the CT does show a parking lot in Levanto near the train station.

There are a handful or parking lots in Levanto. Should be no problem finding a spot, unless you arrive there mid-day on a busy weekend.
