I have looked all over the station here in muc for it and it isn't there. Help? I have walked circles around the station.
More to the point, I want a train for we three adults to Salzburg. Not a day trip. TI said there is a deal - 20 for first person and four for everyone else total. True or not true? How do we get it? And where the heck is euraide. Thanks!
Hi, Are you at Munich Hbf? The EurAide is not next to the Reisezentrum, across from the shop that sells cards, newspapers, etc.? Almost around the corner from the Reisezentrum...it's tucked in there.
I didn't see that store either but will try try again. Are they open on Saturday?
Reisezentrum is Travel Center in American. The fare they spoke about is Bayern-Ticket. See all the detail about it in the parallel thread: https://www.ricksteves.com/graffiti/helpline/index.cfm/rurl/topic/100458/train-from-salzburg-to-munich-airport.html
Linda, My guess is that you are walking by the EurAide counter w/o knowing it since it's pretty inconspicous. Ask at the DB Reisezentrum; like the EurAide all the DB Reisezentrum personnel all speak good English. Yes, on Saturday EurAide is open.
Linda, I also did a thorough walk-about in the Munich Hbf searching high and low for the EurAide office, as it wasn't located where it showed in the Guidebook. After an exhaustive search, I finally located it inside the DB Reisezentrum (first desk on the left as you're facing into the office). Hopefully it hasn't moved since last September. There will be numerous trains from Munich to Salzburg each day. Hopefully Lee will spot this post as he will be able to provide information on the best value tickets. Happy travels!
