When is best time to buy airline ticket to Paris for April '08? I'm afraid to buy now at about $1,000, if in a few months fares will be lower. Does anyone have advice for me? Wait or bite the bullet and buy now?

Wait. It's way too early to see good prices for spring. Just after the first of the year there should be cheaper fares, so watch now to see what "normal" fares are. Then you'll have something to compare to when better fares arrive.

Definitely wait until January or February at the earliest. Check airline websites frequently and you'll see some spring sales pop up - all the fall sales to Europe just started after Labor Day. It will definitely fall below 1,000 to Paris in April.
