I searched the archives and couldn't find an answer to this - four of us are flying to Europe in August, with basically 4 different itineraries within Europe, but meeting at certain times within Britain, France, Spain. I want to jaunt into Morocco solo for a few days also. We will soon purchase our airline tix to and from Europe, but is it wiser to hold off for the short cheapy flights hopping within Europe til closer to travel dates, in order to maintain flexibility, or should we commit to those soon before flights and lower prices disappear? i.e. do the cheap intra-Europe flights get sold out or can one book them on-the-fly during the vacation? Thanks!
If you're talking about discount airlines, you need to purchase those tickets sooner rather than later. The price goes up almost everyday as the plane fills up. In fact if you wait long enough, the fares can be more expensive than the national carriers...at the last minute.
OK, thanks - that's not what I WANTED to hear, but it is what I NEEDED to hear.
