When do the train tickets open for sale for Paris to Bordeaux ?

The SNCF isn't as rigid about ticket sales as the rail company used to be. If you sign up for newsletters and notifications you may hear of bargain proposals well ahead As promotions usually work, not all trains are necessarily available. Currently you can book Paris-Bordeaux through May 22.

The past couple of years, they have released summer travel dates in large blocks, not on a daily, rolling basis. For some of the dates, it may be more than 120 days.

I am looking for train tickets from Nice to Paris on Monday 5/21/18. The tickets are much more expensive than the day before or the day after. Is there a reason for this?

May 21 is Whit Monday in France, a bank holiday, so it is a 3 day weekend. Thus trains are booked up with people getting back north to be at work bright and early Tuesday morning.

I will keep my eyes open then!

Thanks for the heads up on the 5/21 holiday. I will be rearranging plans to travel from Nice to Paris on Sunday 5/20 instead.
