I have purchased a Eurail Global Pass and intend to travel by train from Regensburg, Germany to Prague on June 21. I've attempted to reserve seats on the train, but keep hitting walls. Is there a maximum number of days prior to the trip when the window is open for making reservations?

For most trains you do not need to reserve seats. You just turn up at the station, activate your pass, get on a train and travel.
Seat reservations you can, if you want, get from multiple sources, but for trains originating in Germany the best option is to do this on the German Railways website. However most trains do not have reserved seating. The train from Regensburg to Prague is like that. So there is no point in trying to get one.
