When can I pick up TOD rail tickets in UK?

Am I right to assume I can collect my ticket-on-departure UK rail tickets (South Eastern) a couple of days prior to travel? Or does it have to be on the day of travel? I have an Anytime ticket for Sept 7, and am hoping to use National Rail's 2for1 London attraction offers, for which I will need to show my London departure ticket. Thanks for any help

I'm sure you can pick up your tickets in advance, but you won't be able to use them to get a 2-for-1 discount until 7 September. See here.
