what town in Normandy

Where in Normandy, France are the beaches? It looks like several towns, and what train station stops there?
We will be traveling from Val de Reuil or Rouen.

If we take the train from Val de Reuil to London, how and where do we get over the channel, do we have to book a ferry at that point? When I research the train, it takes you from Val de Reuill to London, but.... Please assist

Normandy Beaches

The main town used as an access point to the D-Day beaches is Bayeux, a small town near the coast. You may travel there by local train (Corail). Consult the city's Tourist Office for more information. They explain everything better than I ever could.

Val de Reuil to London

The journey is composed of the following segments:

Val de Reuil -> Paris Gare Saint Lazare

Paris Gare Saint Lazare -> Paris Gare du Nord - NOT included in your ticket - by bus, taxi, or metro

Paris Nord -> London St. Pancras - by Eurostar

Only your transfer in Paris will require extra money. Everything else is included in your train ticket.

To save money, book Val de Reuil-Paris and Paris-London separately. Both the SNCF and Eurostar are fond of earlybird discount prices, which may not be reflected in Rail Europe pricing.

Where they exist at all, many of the towns along the beaches in Normandy are often no more than small hamlets. This is at least one area of beachfront property that has seen very little development.
