what is the best way...

We have 6 and 1/2 weeks to plan for Paris/Italy/ Greece for the summer of 09. Right now I am enjoying doing the research myself and planning the trip out to our likes and dislikes. One thing that just occurred to me--- do I need to take into consideration what days trains travel or days airplanes fly (example Ryan air) before I go too much further? Right now I am at the stage of.. I want 4 nights here and 3 nights there and I don't want to find out as I start booking hotels "OH NO... how do I get from point “A” to point “B” on the days I want.

Please share your suggestions on how to organize all of this. I am sure I am doing things out of order...

Thank you.

It's not that much of an issue. Honestly much trains/flights go at least once a day if not a lot more often to begin with.

Viv, even though there's plenty of options to travel, you should take into some consideration on the days plane/trains depart. You do not have to plan your trip to a "T" but say, if there's only 1 train leaving, you can consider staying an extra day, or working it so you leave that day on that time.

Your trip in 09 will sneak up very fast! Mine is next month and I had 6 months to plan it.

Viv, also while planning, choose a travel day when you know that many of the attractions you want to see may be closed or limited.

Hi there

Thank you for that tip. I must of read that somewhere before about certain places being closed on Mondays because most of my travel days are on Mondays (we fly into Paris on a Monday, travel from Venice to CT, and travel from Florence to Sorrento all on Mondays) Our last Monday in Italy will be in Rome but we will be there the longest, so we will just hang out... I'll post a questions for that later.

thanks again for the input.
