Wamos Air

Just a warning -- my Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Washington, DC was subcontracted out to Wamos Air and the total experience was horrible! I did not get the extra legroom seat that I had paid for. The aircraft was so substandard in every possible way and the staff was rude and indifferent at best. I will never ever fly them again and I advise others to avoid them. A complaint is pending with Aer Lingus as I am hoping to get the money back for my extra legroom seat.

That’s a tricky one, as companies like Wamos and HiFly mostly provide replacement capacity for airlines. Meaning, AerLingus didn’t intend from the beginning to contract them, but when some kind of scheduling issue (usually maintenance) threw their fleet planning out of whack, replacement capacity was brought in. This is usually a better alternative to the airline canceling the flight entirely.
