Not a question but an FYI for our posters when giving advice on travel. Starting March 2013 Vueling will establish a base in Florence and offer the following flights from Florence airport (FLR): Barcelona(BCN), Paris(ORY), Madrid(MAD), London Heathrow(LHR), Copenaghen(CPH), Berlin Tegel(TXL), Hamburg(HAM). Now let's just hope that the Regional government will finally give the go ahead for the start of the construction of the new Runway 12/30, a 7000 ft long runway more suitable for larger narrow body jets. The new runway has been opposed by both local NIMBYs and by Pisa (fearful of the competition) for too long.
