Vorteilscard or not? Help please

We have a group of 4 that will be taking the train from Zurich to Innsbruck on September 11th (2016) and will be going from Vienna to Trieste on 9/21. One member of our group is 63. I looked up ticket prices from Zurich to Innsbruck and they are at 70 E. Would we benefit from the Vorteilscard? How much are they? I see you can apply online or I can call, but, I am just trying to find out if anyone has used one or if it's worth it. Other ways to save money on train travel? I can book now, if that saves money, but, I'm not seeing any discounts.

Thank you so much! Everyone on this site has been VERY helpful with every question I have posted.

When I go to www.sbb.ch/en, I get a price of 139 CHF for 4 people on the 10:40 departure. That is for nonrefundable train specific tickets on the Zurich to Innsbruck Railjet. Since they are discounted already, there is no reduction for the one person over 60. That is less than half of what you are coming up with.

Edit- When I go to the OEBB site, I get Sparschiene prices of 76 EUR total for 4 adults on the 8:40 and 12:40 departures for 9/11. But oddly, not for the 10:40 departure, which is a lot more.

OeBB Vorteilscards are intended for Austrian residents (although they can be purchased by anyone). The savings of a Vorteilscard is only realized after a couple of trips. In many cases, it is just cheaper to buy a SparSchiene ticket (advance, online from www.oebb.at as indicated above) rather than use the Vorteilscard (especially when you have others in your party without one). We have a family vorteilscard, for example, but tend to buy SparSchiene tickets instead. FYI - the senior vorteilscard is 29 Euro per year.
