We are completing a AMA river trip (starting in Budapest) to Vilshofen in southern German (not too far from Munich). We then plan to join our 14th RS tour in Hamburg (the following day).
Would gladly accept suggestions on getting up north (train, plane, whatever) from this slightly out-of-the-way location. Thanks.

Are you going in 2020? I'm curious which Best of Germany tour you are taking. I just booked the 8/25 - 9/06/2020 tour. it would be nice to meet people on the forum who are also going.

We are taking the May something tour (that ends on June 7th).
Might try a combination train to Munich and flight to Hamburg. Hoping that will work. Not keen on a 7-8 hour train, but that could be fun too.
