Village Italy tour - Orta San Giulio to Milan

I'm taking the Village Italy tour ending Oct 6, 2019 in Orta San Giulio.

Suggestions for transportation to Milan? I'm not finding train schedules on the internet.

I posted on your other thread in the Italy section. The station isnt in Orta San Giulio, I think it’s Orta Miasino. But read the other reply for suggestions. This will be easier than it seems.

There are limited trains from orta miasino and you will probably have to change trains, maybe at novara. Your tour guide can also help with after tour logistics

We did this tour in 2015 and I recall that we took a taxi from Orta to Milan airport. We shared it with another couple and was not terribly expensive plus it was pouring rain in Orta when we departed so we did not have to trudge to the train station. I'm pretty sure there is a bus that connects the airport with the train station. In your tour docs, there is usually info on arrival and departures options. Also, a quick call to the RS tour office will get a quick answer. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The Village Italy tour is wonderful!

You will love this tour. When I took it the guide helped organize rides for anyone who wanted one. We were in a van to the airport. Some took that and then switched to train. I don't remember how other people got to Milan.

What the previous poster said.

Specifically, the guide passed around a sign up sheet asking times and destination (airport or train station). She then grouped us up and ordered vans or taxi's for each group. There were several groups leaving at different times. We were in a van of 8 to the airport and arrived with time to spare. Really seamless and efficient. Nothing to stress about.

Just adding to the chorus of replies; the guide will help organize you all for any onward travel. We, too, took a shared, guide-arranged taxi from the Lake hotel to Milan. We were linked up with 2 other couples who wanted to leave about the same time of day. Some folks went to the Milan train station, some were headed to the airport and some were planning on a stay in Milan. No need to worry. And also agreeing wholeheartedly that this is an awesome tour. Enjoy!
