How much is cost from Vienna to Prague? RS website point-to-point shows about $US50, but train websites price it as 48 euros. Bus looks less at 29 euros (and some faster).
Rick's guide is only that, a rough estimation. It doesn't take into account all the different possible fares or the change in the $ to € exchange rate. The Austrian Rail website, www.oebb.at, shows a direct Eurocity (EC) train in 4h49m (9:32-14:21) for 29€ (probably the discount fare Tim will mention soon :).
If you book well in advance (up to 120 days allowed) on the Austrian Rail site, you can get a discount fare as low as €29.00.
Thanks for the info. Website is helpful. Interesting to see other trains nearly same time at 3 - 4 times price. The Euroline bus at 22 euros and an hour less transit looks quite good.
Lee, I posted three minutes after you did. Is that soon enough? :)
