I'm trying to find the best fare and type of transportation from Vienna to Prague. Our schedule is not as flexible as I'd like, but I would love suggestions on finding a great fare. We would need to leave on 23 July after 12:00 and hope to arrive the same day. What is the best method of travel for two over 25 year old people? Bus? Train? Which website will help? I've read some things here and gone to some other websites, but I'm still not a gifted railpass user. Any advice would be gratefully received.

There is a direct train that departs at 12:33 and arrives at 17:21. If you book ASAP on the Austrian Rail site, you can get a SparSchiene discount fare of €29/person for that train or for others later in the afternoon. Go here and click on "Book online." Click on "English" and proceed with booking.
